This lucky little cockatiel was found outside during the height of the pandemic by a lovely lady who named him Loki. She opened up her home to him hoping he and her blind cockatiel might become friends. Unfortunately Loki's high energy and desperation to make friends was just a little too much for her blind bird to handle. So Loki went to another wonderful home with the hopes that he would find friendship with another high energy cockatiel who was also desperately trying to interact with yet another blind 'tiel. Sadly within a few short weeks, Loki's new friend passed away from complications arising from a newly discovered growth.
Still searching for the company of other cockatiels, Loki arrived at our sanctuary in August 2022 where he met cockatiels Buddy and Hannah. Buddy lost his best friend of 15 years in 2021, when 32 year old Hollywood passed away. Loki and Buddy have become friends while Loki is still trying to befriend Hannah.
Loki now eats, sleeps, showers, and sings with his new cockatiel friends!
Loki's favorite foods are sprouted lentils and cooked kamut grain. His favorite treats are spray millet and Senior Nutriberries.
