Icarus Foundation's Chesapeake Parrot Sanctuary.

Ayodele - Sponsored by Heather!

Ayodele, "Ayo" for short, is a 16 year old male Grey-headed parrot who came to us from a horrible hoarding situation. "Ayodele" means "joy has come home" in Yoruba, an official language of Nigeria.

This little guy has a massive beak that he can use to crack open Brazil nuts without any help! All of our sanctuary volunteers absolutely love Ayo because he is always soliciting them for head scratches.  He is a very high energy bird who loves interacting with toys that move and toys he can tackle and push around on the floor.

Favorite foods: blueberries, fresh figs, pistachio nuts and almonds in shell

Ayodele - recurring monthly donation of $50

    Sponsored by Heather!
