Volunteer
Volunteer Commitment: We are always in need of compassionate, dedicated volunteers, who are 18 or older, and who can make a commitment of one day a week for at least six months. Reliability is important to ensure our birds receive a consistent high level of care.
Volunteer Duties:
- making and distributing toys
- providing spray bottle showers
- engaging and socializing
- cleaning cages, changing papers
- washing bowls and food dishes
- measuring and serving food
- providing fresh water
- preparing fresh food
- scraping, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors
- monthly maintenance duties
- special projects as needed
If you have a special skill or you're an expert in any of the following, we could sure use your help:
- woodworking
- handyman/handywoman
- photography/videography
- marketing/social media
While these extraordinary animals are challenging and rewarding to work with, volunteering for just 3 to 6 hours, one day a week, can make a big difference in their lives!
