Big Daddy is an adult male Moluccan cockatoo of unknown age. Before coming to our sanctuary he was living in deplorable conditions in a so-called "rescue" where he was kept in a cage with no toys and a 6" pile of feces that had accumulated under his one dowel perch. Although he came to the sanctuary as “Princess,” Big Daddy is a much more fitting name for this big guy! He now enjoys a giant playroom complete with plenty of toys, rope perches and boings, and lots of wood to keep him busy, active and occupied.
Favorite toys: paper birdie bagels and untreated pine blocks
Favorite food: sweet potatoes, blueberries and pistachio nuts
