Hannah is a 20+ year old male Cockatiel who came to our sanctuary when his person was moved into an assisted living facility. Hannah had been with the same family for his entire life. This sweet little guy arrived with several health concerns including a heart murmur and fatty liver disease. We are treating him with a prescription medication for the liver disease and have switched him over from a very poor dry seed diet to a nutritious one with fresh veggies and grains. Our veterinarian recently reported that Hannah's heart murmur is gone and attributes it to Hannah's new healthful diet!! He whistles little songs and says "pretty birdie, pretty birdie, pretty pretty pretty birdie."
